UNITED CANDIDATE
Mr. James Kerr, official United candidate for the Hutt seat, will open his campaign in the Eastbourne Theatre to-morrow evening, at 8 o'clock. His AVorship the Mayor, Mr. H. M. Jones, will occupy the chair. During the last few days much vigorous work has been accomplished by Mr. Kerr's various committees, which have been meeting nightly, and most sanguine hopes have been expressed of the candidate's chance of success. Ladies' and young people's committees have been formed and are functioning well. Further dates on which Mr. Kerr will deliver addresses are 2nd December, Day's Bay Pavilion; 3rd December, King George Theatre, Lower Hutt; and sth December, Methodist Hall, Waiwetu. Mr. Kerr will speak in the Moera Hall on 6th December.
To-morrow afternoon, at 3 o'clock, Mrs. Kerr will be pleased to meet supporters of her husband at 95, Hutt road, Petone. Mrs. Bernard Wood, daughter of the Eight Hon. Sir Joseph Ward, and Mrs. AVilford will be present.
