LAND TAX APPEALS

FARMERS' REPRESENTATIVE

Mr. A. E. Fowler, ex-Commissioner of Taxes, has been nominated by the New Zealand Farmers' Union and the Sheep Owners' Federation to represent the farming community on the Commission wMeh is to deal with land tax appeals. Ine Commission, which is to be appointed by the Government, is to consist of a Magistrate, an ex-Commissioner of laxes, and a representative of the tanning community. If the Government agrees'to the farmers' recommendation there will be two ex-Commis-isioners of Taxes on the Commission
