MARAMA'S MAIL
BAGS TAMPERED WITH.
Three bags of mail, brought to Wellington from Sydney by the Mararna have been tampered with ; and mail matter to the value of about £1 is missing. Two of tho bags show signs of having hoen repaired, but it is not known whether this was done legitimately in Sydney. Until a few weeks ago, when it was found that the mails by the same steamer had received attontiou, .1,0 trouble had been experienepd with mails for some time. It is thought that the bags have been tampered with in Sydney,1 and that, the work has been clone in a hurry, as on each occasion little of value , has been taken.
