Bridson, 440 yards intermediate champion of New Zealand and the record-holder, improved upon the New Zealand intermediate boys' record for the distan&e by registering 2min 37 2-ssee. ' This time is 3-ssee faster than E. V. Curtnold's record ,made in 1922.
