GOUNOD'S "FAUST."
A glance at the box plan at The Bristol yesterday showed that the Royal Choral Union had made a good choice in selecting Gounod's "FaustV for ita third concert, which work will be performed at the Town Hall on Saturday evening. The final rehearsal will be held in St. John's at 7.30 to-morrow evening. Miss Kate CamPion has been engaged to sing the part of Margarita, a role she has sung on numerous occasions with the Carl Rosa Opera Company. Miss Campion is a sister of JVLiss Gertie Campion, the one-time Pollard star. Mr. Barison Cook is to ■ sjnir the bass role of Mephistopholes; Mr Ernest Drake the name Faust; Mrs Alice Harris, Siebel's music, and Mr Hilton Osborne that of Vajentine.: The performance^ will be directed by Mi■ H f?n P n r t0 with a chorus and orchestra or 300 performers.
