HANDSOME DIVIDENDS
SOUTH BRITISH INSURANCE COMPANY.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, 19th October. Tho annual report of the directors of the South British Insurance Company recommends tho payment of a dividend of Is Id per share, making a total distribution for the year of 2s 2d a share. The net premium amounted to £939,533, interest and rents £ 117,490, surplus in underwriting account £82,171, placed to reserve fund £75,000, and sinking fund of leaseholds £500. The amount left available is £12_,1G1, of which the dividend absorbs a total of £111,761, leaving £12,400, which, with the balance of £155,334 from August, 1925, makes £167,735 to be carried to the new account.
