PARAPARAUMU CRICKET CLUB

The annual meeting of the Paraparaumu Cricket Club was hqld on Monday, when the following officers were elected: —Patron, Mr. C. S. Brandon (re-elected); president, Mr. O. P. Lynch, (re-elected); vicepresidents, Messrs. J. Fitton, H. A. Smith, W. Cromb (re-elected), J. Renner, M Adams, Dr. R. A. Cameron, H. Aitcheson, J. Buckley, F. Howell, S. G. Nathan, T. W. Kirk, D. D. Hyde, A. L. Witheford, and R. G. Mac Lean; hon. secretary and treasurer, F. C. Middleton; captain, C. B. Reeve (re-elected); vice-cap-tain, E. Weggery (re-elected). Last season's report showed that the Awatea trophy (presented by H. A. Smith) for the batting average was won by E. Weggery, and Mr. C. B. Reeve's trophy for the bowling average by Mr. H. Thompson. It was resolved that the season should be opened on 9th October.
