_, '• EOSENEATH CLUB. The Roseneath Tennis Club held its annual general meeting recently, Mr. C M Turnbull. presiding. The report recorded *ve*y progressive and successful year, and the balance-sheet showed that the finances of the club were in a very sound "condition. Votes of thanks were passed to Mrs Low, Mr. J. A. Carpenter (president), and Mr. C. W. Clark for the dona£r on m ■l ro9. hie, s ' and to Mum Low and il T" ■ Corkill for donations to the club funds. Reference was made to the £ y -nIri: C.JV..Clark, who resigned owing to iv health, and to the good work of the retiring committee • and officers of the club. The opening day was >fixed for 25th September. . ' The following committees and officers were elected :-i>resident, Mr. J. A. Carpenter (re-elected); vice-presidents, Yen. The balance-sheet showed the club to be m a good position financially. A very good year was experienced as far as interclub matches were concerned, the club .winning all matches it played. Eight new members were elected. The election of officers resulted-—Pre-Kdent, the Rev. C. Eaton; vice-presidents, Messrs. R. Richardson, W. Fuller, C. Norwood, C. Barratt; club captain, Mr H A. Pyle; vice-captain, Mr. F. Skinner; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. Gardinercommittee, Messrs. G. Franklin, E. Howe', A. Blatcher, Misses D. Bailey, F. Rough, S. Mizracki, J. Bailey; convener of afternoon tea, Miss D. Madeley. It was decided to hold the official opening of the club on 2nd October
