AN AMATEUR BADIO FEAT.

(By Telegraph.)

(Special to "The Evening Post.")

AUCKLAND, This Day. A Te Aroha radio enthusiast, Mr. E. J.' Orbell, from his radio station at Euakaka, communicated a few days ago with the schooner Morrissey, engaged in geological survey on behalf of the American Government near Baffin Island, Davis Strait. Two-way communication was maintained for an hour and a half in Morse code. Mr. Orbell received two messages from the schooner for transmission to California and Australia. The Morrissey was just starting on the return to New York, but was to call at Greenland on the way. The station call of the Morrissey is VO9.
