LONDON, 6th September.

The newspapers continue to give prominence to the difficulties facing Mr. W. S. Churchill and other Cabinet members who are meeting the mine owners' representatives to-day.

The "Daily Chroniclo" points out that last April the Mining Association submitted proposals for a national agreement based upon a varying district wage. What was possible then is possible now? If the owners are obdurate, the Government can withdraw the Eight Hdhrs Act. $ __
