IN THE COUNCIL.
The Legislative Council yesterday passed the Hutt Valley Lands Settlement Amendment Bill, the Local Bodies ' Loans Bill, the Finance Bill, the Dentists Amendment Bill, the Main Highways AVondment Bill, and the Waimakariri River Improvement Amendment Bill. The Workers' Compensation Amendment Bill and the Education Amendment Bill were referred to Committees.
