In ideal weather for hockey the Waikato representatives on Saturday were defeated by Auckland by 5 goals to 2 after a fine exhibition of the game by both sides. ELTHAM, sth Sept. Taranaki defeated Wanganui yesterday by 8 goals to 1. Goals were scored for Wanganui by Prior (4), Harding (2), and Free (2). Connel scored for Wanganui. DUNEDIN, sth Sept. A junior representative match, Canterbury versus Otago, was won by the Canterbury team by 5 goals to 2,
