REMUERA FROM HOME.
The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Remuera arrived in the stream at 7.15 a.m. yesterday from London and Southampton, via Curacao, Panama, Balboa, and Fltcalrn Island. The vessel berthed at Flpltea Wharf at 11.39 a.m. The Remuera loaded at London, and left there at 3 p.m. on 29th July for Southampton, where she arived at 5 o'clock on the following morning. Malls and passengers were taken aboard at the Hampshire port, and the vessel sailed at 1 p.m. the same day. i Fine weather, light winds, and moderate seas prevailed on the run across the Atlantic. St. Michael's, Azores Islands, was passed at 9 a.m. on 3rd August, and the ship arrived at Curacao at 3 p.m. on llth August, when the passengeri went ashore while the oil fuel supplies were being replenished. At 6 a.m. on 12th August the Remuera resumed her voyage. Colon wai reached at 9.25 a.m. on 14th August, and the vessel passed through the Canal without delay. She arrived at Balboa at 4 p.m. on 14th August, and the passengers had another run ashore. The Remuera lift -Balboa at 11 p.m. on the same date, and fine weather was experienced in the Pacific. Crossing the Equator the temperature was exceptionally low, the thermometer reading In the sixties. The Remuera arrived off Pitcairn Island at 9 p.m. on 25tli August. Two men and a woman joined the vessel as passengers for Wellington, and the Remuera stood on her course again 'two houri later. On Ist September the vessel ran Into a north-easterly gale, which backed to northwestorly and was accompanied by heavy rain and high seas. After 36 hours the weather improved, and the last week of the voyage was completed under perfect weather conditions. Captain J. J. Sneddon; second, Mr A. Percival; third, Mr. T. V. Bewick: fourth, Mr. Youngs; fifth Mr. T." F. Parrott; sixth, Mr W. 0. t'outts; seventh, Mr. J. T. Em» He; chief refrigerating engineer, Mr. A. Holiingworth: second, Mr. W. A. Wootton; electrician, Mr. G. H. Warden; steward-ln-charge, Mr. T. Bowen; radio operators, Messrs. R. Solway, A. E. Read, and G. Brown; ship surgeon. Dr. W. Comber. The Remuera is expected to leave Wellingtonton on Thursday for Auckland to complete discharge of her cargo. The following is the list of saloon passengers : —Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
