FOR REMEMBRANCE.
"This hall will stand for remembrance. Surely it is remembrance that those we are commemorating would most have wished, that the old school had not .forgotten them, was proud of them? May I end by quoting one of tho masters of a great English public ! school? 'V/e do. not forgot you, while in this ■ dark Decoraber wo sit in schoolrooms that you know so well, and hear tho sounds you so well icmembcr. At the conclusion of the well-known quotation there wus a brief silence, then a burst of applauce. The headmaster (Mr. T. R. Cressivell) conveyed to His Excellency the thanks of all, and particularly the present boys of the school, for his attendance. All were grateful for the attendance of the representative of His Majesty the King, and particularly grateful that that representative was Sir Chcvrlcs Fergusson, a very distinguished general, who fought alongside the old boys in the war, and who saw no doubt something of their courago and chivalry. The "Last Post" and Reveille, sounded by the college buglor, closed a remarkably impressive ceremony.
