A SPACIOUS HALL.
The Minister of Education (Hon. B. A..Wright) apologised for the absence of the Prime Minister, owing to onerous duties. Tho hall, he gathered, would mcasuro 100 ft by 50ft, and provision, would bo mado in the basement for a gymnasium. The loyalty of tho Old Boys was a credit to Wellington. He paid a tribute to the -work of tho colloge in the past, and alluded to the great number of men holding distinguished positions in the community who had passed through tho college, which spoke volumes for the training they had received. Referring to the chairman's remarks regarding overcrowding in the old college, Mr. Wright said that he •wished he could ease his mind, and tell him that the new college would be started this year, but he could only promise him that he would do his best personally to assist a commencement, as soon as tho work could be gone on •with.
