ferred to by the Leader of the Oppoiition (Mr." H. E. Holland) in the HouM of Representatives last night. "I want to suggest," said Mr, Holland, "that there are legal proceMei by which names might be altered, and I would recommend that course to mjr friend from Christchurch North (Mr. H. Holland). I think he will agree; that I have first claim. I remember once going to Paltnerston North and finding myself advertised as the Mayor lof Christchureh.
