The principal work carried out In the Waihi Mine during the four-weekly period endod 3rd July, 1926, was as followsNo. 15 Level.—West Drive: The crosscut south at 524 feet was continued to 117 feet. At 99 feet quartz 5 feet wide was Intersected, assay value Is Id per ton, course 253 degrees (true), dip lin 3 north. This is probably the Royal lode. The noxt 2 feet is a mixture of quartz and country assaying Is 9d per ton. The cross-cut was suspended, and a rise for ventilation purposes commenced at a point 368 feet In the west drive. No. 14 Level.—Edward Lode: The south drive has been advanced to 293 feet. The average assay from 240 to 287 feet Is 33s 5d per ton. Royal Lode, in Dunlop south-east crosscut: Driving west was advanced to 64^4 feet. The average assay value from 18 to 47 fcot is Us 3d per ton. At 52 feet the full w.'dth of lode is 14 feet, assay value 5s 9d per ton. Eastward a total of 34 feet has been driven! The average assay value from 9 to 29 feet Is 13s lid py ton. Martha Lode East, of No. 4 shaft crosscut: In tho crosscut at 547 feet, the last 27 feet has an average assay value of 8s 9d per ton. Tlio full width of lode is 58 feet. No. 13 Level. —Trout South East Crosscut Is out 167 X- foot. At 90 feet, quartz 12 foet 34s per ton and last 8 feet is a mixture of quarts and country assaying 14s per ton. The course Is 231 degrees and dip 1 in 4 south. No. 12 Level.—Martha Lode: In the intermediate level at 50 feet down Pascoe winze, the level has been widened to 10 feet from 26 to 54 feet west of tho winze. No. 11 Level.—Martha Lode East of Kauri Crosscut: The drive was* extended to 111 feet. The average assay vnluo from 80 to 100 feet is 27s 6d per ton. No. 10 Level.—Shark North-west Crosscut is out 311 feet. Tho country is favourable. No. 8 Level.—North Leader In Bulls North i Crosscut: A total of 53% foet was driven east-
ward. The' average assay value to 28 feet is 64s 6d per ton over a width of 5 feet. From 28 to 49 feet the assay value Is 10s per ton and the width has reduced to 9 inches. The west drive was advanced to 33% feet. The average assay value to 30 feet Is 25a 4d per ton over a width of 5 feet. .
