WEATHER OUTLOOK
SOUTHERLIES FORECASTED.
Some scattered showers have fallen, particularly in the north and east coast districts of the North Island. The tail end of the storm is apparently just whipping about East Cape, and squally and showery conditions are forecasted about Poverty Bay for p. short time, but fair to cloudy weather is expected elsewhere, and generally milder. The barometer is rising temporarily, and the only thing threatening at the present time is a small disturbance in the Tasman Sea. This is likely to be held off for a day or two by the high pressure now establishing itself. Moderate to strong south-easterly winds are expected northward of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura; easterlies, increasing and backing to northerlies, everywhere shortly.
