\ (Sydney Sun Cable.) LONDON, Ist September. Miss Baptisti had apparently been dead at least.a month. Her friends state that she underwent an operation for appendicitis in 1925, when she had suffered internal pain, and another operation had been recommended. Miss Baptisti was moody and complained of people slandering her. A woman jealous of her success struck her on the head with a stick, which caused three months' illness and partial loss of memory.
