The Manawatu Hunt Club's Meeting toiinorrow should provide some interesting racing, and complete tho early spring week in the Manawatu district. The club has •received, a really good list of acceptances, ■and-a number of horses are due to race -at Awapuni to-morrow who have Wanganui engagements, and who have not been raced; at the Marton Meeting. Special .train services have been arranged from the surrounding districts and Wellington racing enthusiasts can attend by leaving to-night and returning home to-morrow Bight" after witnessing the last race. After Captain Gazeley's win at Feilding, «ah' Jong appears to more than dominate c position in the Kiwitea Bracelet. A Capable rider seems the only essential. - The Hawkes Bay pair Comedic and Essential, appear to dominate the position in the Te Matai Maiden Plate unless they have wintered very badly, an unlikely contingency in Hawkes Bay. Birkenose, with A. M'Donald up, no doubt will be favourite for the Manawatu Hunk Cup, but Adrienne (A. H. Burt), who, won this race last year, might do well.- Aotea Roa decently ridden is a possibility. Our Jack claims two engagements, but if produced." in the Aokautere Handicap, he might show up well. If Pangolin runs up to Trial Plate form at Trenthara, he wight be one of the prominent ones. The distance of the Parangi Hack Steeplechase should suit Hokioi and Labour Morn^next best. It is understood that Ran juke will not be a runner. Tame Fox should not be at an outside priced in the Kairanga Handicap, while Novar might show on his home track. He ran » solid race at Feilding yesterday. Rascal certainly cannot be overlooked, for if he has any chance of winning the Wanganui Guineas he should beat this field. In the'absence of Rangisarto, who should •how up well if a starter, Ayun Kara and Birkenose may do best in the Hunters' Hurdles. . Our .Tack's name appears again in the Flaxboiirne. Hack Handicap. Cat Call was racing at Trentham, and should be forward enough, but Mountain Jean reads as well as-anything outside the top weight. The Otago Hunt Club's Meeting to-mor-roy?-'at Wingatui opens the new season in-Otago. Horses who appear well placed ,___;._lu__le, Rosenor, Message Boy, Punjaubj'Heather Lad, John Bradbury, Kip•ling,' Osterman, and Tholomon.
