DR. CARTER'S LECTURE

Under the auspices of the Wellington Ministers' Association, a lecture illustrated by lantern slides on "Old London end New India" was delivered last night in the Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dr. Carter, of London, secretary of tb-e Zenana Bible and Medical .Mission. T_e chairman was the Rev. Dr. Pinfold, and there was a good attendance. The lecturer indicated the .various agencies at work in connection (with his mission, including even lepers, and the slides evidenced the good results that had followed the efforts put forth. Dr. Carter was listened to with much appreciation, and at the close of tho lecture, on the motion of the Rev. J. S_aird, 8.A., a very hearty vote of thanks was accorded him by acclamation.
