(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. While she was standing with her back , to a fire in a grate in her home on Tuesday morning, the clothing worn.by the little daughter of. Mr. James M' Cann, of Leeston,: caught fire. The girl rushed out to her mother, who. was, busy washing clothes. Mrs. M'Cann fought hard to smother the fire, suffering severe burns on both hands. Fortunately Mr. M'Cann happened to be in the yard at the time and quickly extinguished tho fire oil the girl's clothing, but not before hor shoulders and back had been badly burned. Mr. M'Cann'b hands wore also badly blistered
