Williams and Vincent.Richards (U.S.A.), on Tuesday defeated Henri Cocket and- Jacques Bruguon (France) in the quarter-finals of the American national doubles at Brookline, winning 6-1, 6-2, 1-6, 6-3. W. T. Tilden and A. H. Chapin (U.S.A.) defeated James Davies and Phil Neer (U.S.A.), 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.
