PEACE IN BALKANS
BULGARIA'S CONCILIATORY NOTE WILL DO UTMOST TO CHECK COMITADJIS. (United Press Association.—Copyright.) (Australian-New Zealand Cable Assn.) .SOFIA, 31st August. Tho Bulgarian Note replying to Greece, Rumania ,and Jugo-Slavia, regarding the activities of Bulgarian bands ,of comitadjis, is most conciliatory. It emphasises a desire to safeguard the peace in the Balkans, stat-. ing that the Bulgarian Government is doing its utmost to check comitadji activities, which it declares have produced wide ramifications outside Bulgaria. It urges co-operation between all four countries in this connection, and finally declares its readiness to submit the question to the League of Nations, whose recommendations it promises to accept.
