SQUALLY AND COLD WEATHER.

A cyclonic disturbance in the North Island ana a westerly low pressure syßtem in the south-west have been the dominating factors in the meteorological conditions lately. To a certain extent they have neutralised each other and, although cold and showery conditions have been pretty general, an improvement is reported this morning. The barometer will rise, during the next day or two and strong southerly winds may bt expected, with rough seas oif the coasts. Squally conditions with heavy showers ana a very cola night are forecasted for the immediate future.
