INQPIB-Y TO BE HELD,

In view of a police report submitted to the Coroner, Mr. Wallnutt, at Waihi, itt connection with an outbreak of fire which occurred at the residence of Mr. H. W. Oropp in Clarke street, on 11th August, an inquiry will be held into the general circumstances, which are said to point to incendiarism and theft. Mr. Cropp found that a sum of £18 ■was missing from where he placed it for safe keeping. • Prompt action by the Fire Brigade saved the building, bnt two rooms were damaged.
