WEATHER.

The opening of the football season, which occurred in perfect cricket weather, was witnessed by large crowds, who did not mind a temperature of 80 degrees, though the footballers themselves did not appear happy. Nearly three-quarters of a million attended forty-four matches in the four sections of the League.
