INFANT'S BODY FOUND

_CHRISTCHURCH, 24;h January. ■ The body of an infant, apparently newly born, was found by a -workman at 7.30 this morning, lying in a gutter in- Carlyle street, Sydenham, opposite the railway goods shed. The body was wrapped in a woman's underclothing A doctor pronowaced the body to be that of a prematurely born child, which had never breathed ; consequently no inquest is necessary. - ■
