PARAMOUNT THEATRE.

Another bright programme of vaudeville and pictures is being presented ab the Paramount Theatre daily," ' The Musgrove Celebrity Vaudeville1 : artiste present the third, 'act ot' 'the series, and it provides excellent;■entertainment. Aubrey Knight, a. clever English comedienne, gives some delightful character studies and burlesque turns, and proves herself to be an .artist in the true sense of the term.. The maiu picture on the programme is a stirring Fox melodramatic production; "Hell's Hole," which tells a vivid story of life in a mushroom town in the Wild '.West. Long Tack Sam and his amazing troupe from China, which ' includes men and women, commences his Wellington season at the Paramount Theatre 011 Friday next. The Auckland 'Star" comments on the performance as follows: "There have been many vaudeville acts consisting of acrobatic, dancing, magic, and musical numbers, but one combining all these things has come to the National Theatre in the hands of Long Tack Sam and his -Chinese troupe. From the outeet it .would be impossible to describe fully the marvellous features of this act! To say that it is the greatest of its kind would not be saying too much. At the opening performances yesterday the' clamour of the audiences was in' "ifself" sufficient evidence as to the appeal' that they made to Aucklanders. . . .Long Tack Sam claims that most of them ■ are 'the only ones.' We believe him. There are a dozen other acts which, could be written on at length. Shortly, the company is one which, in true Eastern fashion, displays strength, ingenuity, and charm that may never be equalled." The box plan for the Wellington season of Long Tack Sam .opens at the Utility Stationery Shop, in'ext: to theatre, to-morrow morning at 9. o'clock. The supporting picture programme includes a special star picture, Tom Mix in Zane Grey's famous story, "The ■ Lone Star Ranger."
