.LONDON, 20th January-" llie Berlin correspondent of "The limes says: "There were disorderly scenes in the State Theatre at Dr.es.deri on the first performance of Ernst Toller s 'Tragedy of Ginkerman.'
"Toller, who is a Communist, was sentenced to a lengthy term of imprisonment for participating in the Soviet rising in Munich in 1919,. when he acted as one of the leaders of the revolutionaries. . .. . -,
■ Several blocks of. seats in the theatre were booked in advance and occupied by Nationalists specially sent to howl down the play, which they did. The police were called in. A free fight followed, and forty were arrested. The Nationalists are asking the Government to prevent the reproduction of the play on the ground that it is calculated' to appeal to the lowest instincts and outrage the religious feelings of every Nationalist."
