RAILWAY TRAFFIC BARRED
LONDON, 19th January. Surprise is officially expressed in London at the news from Cologne that .French Customs officials have issued a proclamation practically prohibiting all railway goods traffic with the British zone, except for foodstuffs and military transport, but comment for the present is withheld on the ground that the information is insufficient to explain the reason for the measures being taken.
