RESULTS OF EVENTS.
Races for the trophies presented to fche^ Evans Bay Swimming Club, for competition among members were held last week, and results to date are :— SO Yards Ladies' Handicap: Miss M. Townsend, 1; Miss N. Scott, 2: Miss I. Young, 3. 100 Yards Ladies Handicap: Miss N. fecott, 1; Miss M. Townsend, 2; Miss I Young, 3. In the ladies' competition two races were to have been held, but in view of the fact that the Misses Scott and lownsend each won an ©vent, it was mutually decided to hold a 50 yards final. In this race Miiss Scott touched in first with Miss Townsend second WYardß Boys' Handicap: First heat, H. Gillespie, l ; J. L . Cass, 2; second heat, A. Gillespie, 1 ; R. Middleton, 2; li' - Gllles Pie. 1; A. Gibbons, 2. 50 Yards Men's Handicap: First heat, D. Burgess, 1 ; H. Coraack, 2. Second heat, bolomon, 1; M. Griffin, 2. Final: Solomon, 1; Griffin, 2; Cormack, 3 SO Yards Breaststroke Handicap: E. Scott, 1; A. Ross, 2; Cormack 3 the final of the men's 100 yards' will be swum during this week or next. The ladaes competition, which is completed is for a special trophy, and resulted in Miss N. Scott being xilaced first, with Misses M. Townsend a"nd I. Young second and third, respectively. Competitors in the men's' competition for the prold medal, at present stand as follow- : Solomon 3 points, Scott 3 points, Griffin 2 points, Cormack 2 points and Ross 2 points. ' The officials on Saturday were- Start"li Mr V, C- A- Cris P (club captain); judges, Messrs. H. Lander and E Fegan.
