POLITICAL DEADLOCK
SWARAJISTS IN INDIA.

DELHI, 20th January. A political deadlock has arisen in the Central Provinces. The Swarajist members of the Legislative Council, who form a majority, carried, by 44 votes to 24, a resolution of want of confidence in the Moderate Ministers.*-.. The Council adjourned sine die. The Governor may order a re-election, or assume the direct administration of the transferred Departments without responsibility to the Provincial Legislature.
