BLOOMS AT THE.GARDENS.
Droughty.weather makes no difference to the glory of the begonia house at the Botanical Gardens, for begonias are privileged among other flowers, and the care that has been taken of them has been rewarded by a show which eclipses any of past seasons. Just jpow the whole collection, begonias, gloxinias, orchiels, and other glasshouse 'special blooms, are at their very best,' but the present burst of glorious colour cannot last long," arid in three weeks or a month a falling-off will inevitably set in. The. outside beds are also making a fine show just now, particularly of annuals. The Gardens have very rightly been popular with Sunday strollers this sum-^r, and the begonia house so popular that queues have had to be formed at the door on several Saturday : and Sunday afternoons recently..
