(Received 19th January, noon.) , LONDON, 18th January The special correspondent '-of the Central News at Paris states that owin« to the fall of tho franc, one of the principal textile manufacturing companies at Roubaix, having exhausted its stocks of wool, is unable to pay the price in sterling for| further supplies^ and has been compelled to dismiss 500 workmen. It is feared that other big clothing firnis may also be closed unless the situation improves.
