SYDNEY, 18tlv January. ■ The secretary of' the Australian Research Council has announced that one of the first fruits of the Pan-Pacific Union-meeting last *yeuv will be the establishment of a Chair of AntliropO: logy at Sydney University this year. ,I'he Commonwealth Government will contribute £1700 yearly in .return for which-it will benefit by the training given students, who later Will become officials and administrators in Papua and the mandated territories. '
