HARBOUR SWIMMING RACE.
One of tie features for Saturday next will be the two mile harbour race, to be swum from the Queen's Wharf. There is' a big entry already assured for these events, including New Zealand cham% pions; there will also be diving displays by New Zealand's ibest divers. "It, is understood that one man will div» from a height of approximately 100 feet. The following are the handicaps for the harbour race:—C. Claridge (scr), D. Murrell (scr), F. Mollier, (2min), H. Winstanley (3min - 30sec), H. Eversleigh (4min 12Bec), J. Blakeney (Smin), J. M'Hardy (smin), W. Lavelle (smin 35sec), F. Adam . (6min), H. Zohrab (6min), L. Dawkins (6min), C. Barrett (6min 36sec), J. Williams' (6min 3osec), W. Howie (7min 12sec), W. Look (7min 30sec), iU. Shannon (7min 1, J. Rawson (7min 48sec)i, E. Pocock (Bmin), Tj. Russell' (Bmih), W; llorpeth (Bmin), J. Mason (12min), Miss V. Brodie (18min), Miss E. Hunt (18min). -Competitors dress on the Queen's Wharf, and the race starts and finishes from the northern end. The Swimming Centre would be-grateful if owners of boats would bring them along to-morrow to patrol the course.
