NOT CONSIDERED ADVISABLE.

The report of the commission, Messrs. E. Page,' S.M. (chairman), T. , Brook, and F. Martin, set up to cansider the proposal for the establishment of a new borough, Rongomai, in. the Hutt Valley, to comprise Upper .Hutt, Wallaceville, Trentham, Heretaunga, and Silverstream, was placed before the- Hutt County Council at its meeting yesterday, the opinion' of the commission being that the prayer of tho petition for the establishing of a new borough should not be granted. , It was considered that the evidence' placed before the commission showed no general desire on the part of residents outside , the Upper Hutt town district for municipal control, nor was the proposed borough area suitable by its nature for municipal control.
