LONDON, 9th July. Horace Vanruith, the veteran artist, died in London, aged eighty-four, after a brave struggle against failing eyesight and acute poverty. Practically his only income was a Turner annuity of £50 awarded to him as a distinguished artist. His last picture,, one of Nurse Cavell, was only completed on Armistice Day' after a. tragic race against approaching blindness. -
