LONDON POLICE DISPUTE
SUPPORT OF "TRIPLE ALLIANCE" HOPED FOR.
(Received June 3, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, 2nd June. The postponement of the police strike is explained by the fact that the leaders of the Police Union hope to receive the support of the Labour Triple Alliance Conference at Southport on the 24th June. They declare that if a strike is unavoidable, it will be of the "lightning" order, without notice.
