New Zealand Labour circles have not been greatly excited over the decision of the miners to link up with the Transport Workers' Federation. Nevertheless, the move is an important one, and its foil significance cannot yet be discerned. The Transport Workers' Federation is already regarded as' tho strongest industrial organisation in the Dominion, and if the latest amalgamation is confirmed tho t&tal membership, it is -estimated, will approach 50,000.
