SUDDEN DEATH OF A CUSTOMS OFFICIAL
»..n .1 ■ , m (BT TELEGRAPH — PBBSa ASSOCIATION.) WANGANOI, This Day. Mr. A. Elliott, Collector of Customs. Ohristchurch, who was on annual leave at Watlganui, died suddenly early this morning. Apparently deceased had just got out of bed. Mrs. Elliott, who had risen earlier, found him quite dead on returning to the bedroom. Death was due to heart failurn.
GOOD NEWS. George and Kersley. Ltd., of The Economic, Lambton-quay, are the successful tenderers for the wholesale stocks of Messrs. Macky, Logan, and Caldwell, salvaged from the recent fire in the New Zealand Express Company's building, Herbert-street. Messrs.
