MUNICIPAL ELECTORS
GREATER WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. The ■ first general meeting of th» .Greater Wellington Municipal Electors' Association was held in the Chamber of Commerce last evening. There were about a score of persons present. i\Mr. J. G. W. Aitken was voted to the chair, and Mr. J, L. Areuß acted as secretary. The Chairman briefly explained ; that this meeting had been arrived at after the amalgamation of the various Municipal Electors' Associations that had existed hitherto as separate bodies. On the motion of Mr. H» G. Bill, 'those present became the first members of the association. Mr. J. G. W. Aitken was elected president, on the motion of Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, seconded by Mr. H. G. Hill (Island Bay). , Mr., j&itk^n ,at first declined -to 1 , accept riominat»iW,[T)ut-Mr. A. Leigh Hunt urged that tor the, first president they should have someone of his standing. , Qther officers were elected as follow : ; Vice-presidents, Messrs'. H. G. Bill 'and A. Leigh Hunt; 'executive committee, Messrs. E. Wylie, A. E. Odlin, E. J. Colky, 'Ti 0. A. Hielop, W, Thompson, J. S. Barton, and S. Shirtcliffe.
