The new., of pictures screened last evening greatly pleased the large attendance. The lead* ing film was the dramatic picture " The Stolen _ Favourite," the chief actors in tfhich are Nick winter, a detective, and "Tattooed Jim/ chief of a gang of rogues, and bearing a striking re* semblance to " Nick,"' who adopts the latter's name in order to carry out a daring robbery of a horse. After several exciting scenes the genuine Nick Winter runs the thieves to earth. 1 Other good subjects are': — Pathe's " Australian Gazette" (topical), "Young Millionaire" (Kalem drama), "Peninsula of Termoine" (scenic), '"When Persistency meets Obstinacy" (Vita drama), "Fog" (Edison drama), "Teddy's Unlucky Day" (tomic), " English Gazette " (Pathe topical), and "Don't Tease the Dog" (comic).
