THOUSANDS OF SHEEP PERISH IN VICTORIA. , By Telegraph.— Prees Association.— Copyright MELBOURNE, 6th February. Bush fires have done serious damage to grass, fencing, and buildings at Waterloo, in Gippsland. The local cemetery was also swept by the fires. Thousands of sheep perished in a stretch of twenty miles of country between Elaine and Lethbridge. "RAGING FIERCELY NEAR HOBART. (Received February 7, 9.20 a.m.) HOBART, This Day. ' Bush fires are raging fiercely in most of the hills surrounding the town, especially in the vicinity of Ferntree.
