The final distance , (ISOvda) of the Brodie Cup in connection with the Wor» ser Bay Swimming, Club was .decided on Saturday last, the result being:— L. Silver (3sec), 1; L. Green (_osec), 2; Maunder (35sed), 3. Also started—Carmichael (7sec), G. Green (14sec), A. Woon (17seo). Powell (25sec). L. Silver wine the cup with 8 points, A. Woon. (6 pointel and G. ft. Green (6 points) tie for secohd place, and L. Rountree (3 points) and L. W. Green (3 poihts) third. Tho final tlisiance (100 yds junior) for Atkin Uup resulted :— B. Doughty (<cr.) 1; F. Bell (30sec), 2; S. Robertson (40 sec), 3. Al«o stnrred— T. Jenkinson and J. Gamble. The cup was won by B. Doughty with 13 points, F. Bell (5 points) 2, and S. Robertson (5 points) 3. On next. Permission has been granted Mr. Shields to teach swimming at the ladies' baths at Te Aro on Wednesday afternoons from 3.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m., in compliance with the petition from Dr. Platts-Mills ai|d others, anJ hs asked for by the Wellington Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Associatiou.
