UNITED METHODISTS
To-day's sitting of the Methodist Conference was occupied chiefly with routine business. The President announced that he had received a letter from the Moderator of the Presbyterian General Assembly of New Zealand conveying good wishe% to the United Conference. The corresponding secretary ' was authorised to reply. The departmental offices of the Methodist Church will be continued in the united Church as follow : The office of connexional secretary, of organising secretary of home missions, and of principal of the Theological Institution. Ministers are to be in their new circuits by the third Sunday in April, and all circuit and station authorities close their accounts as and from 31st March. On the motion of the secretary, it wa« resolved : "That, for this conference, there be only two readings of stations, providing that the second reading shall not be considered Until the day following that on which the Committee presents it« report."
