j An inquest Avas held this morning by Dr. M'Arthur, S.M., District Coroner, into the death of John Christopher, Avho died suddenly at a boardinghouse in Martin-street early on the 3rd inst. t Dr. Fyffe, Avho had made a post-mortem examination of the body, stated that the j cause of death Avae hemorrhage due to a j rupture of an aneurism of the arch of the aorta. In the throat, he added, Avas a sac about the sine of a small coconut, ond that pressed upon the trachea. The Coroner found a A'erdict in accordance Avith the medical testimony. A public tea in connection with the opening of the United Methodist. Conference will be held in the Town Hall at 6 o'clock this evening, to be folloAved by a public meeting in the same place at 8 o'clock, when the signing of the deed of union will take place.
