i . , I SIR GORDON SPRIGG. By Telegraph. -Presi Association.— Copyright (Received February J5, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, 4th February. The death is announced of Sir John Gordon Sprigg. [The Right Hon. Sir John Gordon Sprigg was a son of the Rev. James Sprigg, M.A., of Ipswich, and was born in 1830. He settled in Cape Colony in 1858, and enbered bhe colonial Parliament in 1869. He firsb became Prime Minister and Colonial Secrebary in 187881, Treasurer 1884-86, and subsequenbly filled those positions for many succeeding years.]
