DEFENDED CASES
In the Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Dr M 'Arthur, S.M., Burridge and Ford, contractors, Wellington, proceeded against H. Ransoii, builder, Wellington, for £111, allegbd to be due by Ratisoh in respect of certain excavation work done by Bnrridge and Ford, aB sub-contractors, in connection with additions to Staples brewery. At the same time three other actions were heard, in which John M'Ateer, carrier (Mr. E. J. Fitzgibboh), Fredk. Diamond, carter (Mr. F. p. Kelly), and Jas. Wtfl, Higgins seed Burridge and I'ord for work done, and Ratieon (as contractor) under i\a Wages Protection and Contractors Lien Act, 3900. My. T. Young appeared lor RaiiEOH, who disputed, tho amount claimed, and Mr. Tnngham appeared for Burridge and Ford. His Worship uitl deliver judgment on tho llth just. F. G.
